What to Expect After Rhinoplasty?
The recovery process after rhinoplasty can vary depending on the patient's overall health and the technique applied. However, a general timeline can be outlined.
First Week
The first 24-48 hours after surgery are the most critical period. The nasal splint and internal tampons remain in place during this time. Mild pain and swelling are normal and controlled with prescribed medications.
First Month
After the splint is removed, bruising and swelling on the face gradually decrease. You can return to social life after 2-3 weeks. It is recommended to avoid wearing glasses.
6-12 Months
The nose shape continues to settle. The final result usually fully appears after 12 months.
